Quarry Hill Fall Festival | Rochester Audi in Rochester, MN

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend and itching to get into the fall spirit, check out the Quarry Hill Fall Festival this weekend (Saturday 9/12-Sunday 9/13) at the Quarry Hill Nature Center in Rochester.

This annual festival will be open from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. both days and will have a wide variety of programs and activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Activities will be for all ages and will take place both indoors and outdoors. Some of the indoor activities include nature games, eco-friendly crafts, cookie decorating and candle rolling. Outdoors will be home to things such as cave tours, canoeing, rock climbing, pumpkin carving and more.

Special guests to the festival will include some special members of the native Minnesotan wildlife, like Minnesota turtles, birds and snakes. There will also be a Bald Eagle program presented by the National Eagle Center.

Saturday Programs:

12 & 3 p.m. - Red Tail Hawk Program with Falconer Kirk Payne

1 & 2 p.m. - MN Snakes with DNR Wildlife Specialist, Jaime Edwards

Sunday Programs:

12 p.m. - MN Turtles, Quarry Hill Naturalist

1 p.m. - Monarchs, Quarry Hill Naturalist

2 & 3 p.m. - Bald Eagle Program, National Eagle Center

Admission to the festival is free, but food and activities are extra. Food and activity tickets will be available for purchase on site for $1/ticket or $20/25 tickets. Food and activities will range from 1-4 tickets each. Food will be available all day long and will include brats, hot dogs, caramel apples, popcorn, tabouli and much more!

This event will be held rain or shine at the Quarry Hill Nature Center, located at 701 Silver Creek Road NE, Rochester, MN, 55906.

The Quarry Hill Nature Center is open every day of the year except July 4, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It is free and open to the public to enjoy its park and trails. There are also programs, events, classes and camps offered throughout the year.

You can also host your child’s next birthday party at Quarry Hill, complete with a nature program with live animals, led by a Quarry Hill Naturalist!
